CHANGES TO ORDERING PRESCITIONS BY EMAIL

CHANGE TO PROCEDURE FOR BOOKING ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS

From 1st December 2018 Appointments may be booked as follows:-

  • On-line from 6.00pm
  • By telephone from 9.00am

It will no longer be possible to book appointments in person at reception desk, this will end the unacceptable practice of having to queue outside in order to make an appointment.

Forms to register for online booking are available at reception.

Planned Extension to Quayside Medical Practice

Work will be ongoing from February 2018 - January 2019

During this time access to the car park maybe curtailed and you may need to allow extra time to find a suitable parking space.

The partners apologise for any inconvenience but the situation cannot be avoided while construction work is being carried out.

NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR CAR PARK

WE REGRET THAT WE HAVE HAD TO SECURE THE SERVICES OF A CAR PARK MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR OUR CAR PARK.

A CAMERA IS NOW INSTALLED TO RECORD THE NUMBER PLATE OF ALL VEHICLES ENTERING THE CAR PARK.

ANYONE WITH LEGITAMITE BUSINESS IN THE SURGERY MUST ENTER THEIR CAR REGISTRATION NUMBER ON 1 OF 2 IPADS LOCATED IN RECPTION AREA TO RECEIVE A PARKING PERMIT, ALSO IF SOMEONE IS WAITING FOR YOU IN THE CAR PARK THEIR REGISTRATION NUMBER MUST BE ENTERED ON 1 OF THE IPADS.

CAR NUMBER PLATES THAT ARE NOT VALIDATED WILL RECEIVE A PARKING FINE.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
